I'm so glad the BCS mess is finally over...

Congrats to Florida on winning the BCS Championship, but it's hard to call it a National Championship when so many other teams have a legitimate claim at the title.  Utah really got hosed this year.  The Utes did what was ask, they beat everyone in front of them including a thrashing of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and all that got them was #2.

Texas has a beef but probably not as much as USC, the Trogans would have beat both Florida and Oklahoma the way they played in the title game.  Not the best for either, but again congrats to the Gators for doing what they needed to do.

Checking the final AP standings I was surprised not to see Rice anywhere in the top 25.  That's a slap in the Owls face, but also fuel to keep building their program.  Eight 9 and 4 teams made the final Top 25 but not the 10 and 3 Owls.   Next season's non-conference schedule of the Owls includes trips to Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, win either of those and the voters will take notice.
