STEROIDS...AGAIN

Here we go again. Sammy Sosa used steroids!!!! What a shock. Why is it that no one is surprised when the obvious becomes the fact? It's because despite every sportscaster and sportswriter who wants to say they were duped by that McGwire-Sosa home run chase back in '98, they all suspected something was up. Go look at all the stories from '98 and '99 about McGwire and his use of Andro. The signs were there, but no one wanted to look too closely because they were enjoying the race to beat Maris too much. That's my issue, when folks get religion about steroids. Did you REALLY not know something was a bit odd when all these guys suddenly started hitting all these home runs? I think not. I think everyone loved it...they saved baseball from the strike, right? Can we finally just admit and accept that steroids dominated the '90s and years beyond? Athletes have always tried to find an edge. The individual sports need to decide what's ok and what's not...test and punish those who fail...AND MOVE ON!.

Drop the steroid issue. Let us enjoy the game, and admire the skills and efforts of the players. More than enough has been said, and hopefully there will be no such problems in the future.

why continue to sweep the steroid issue under the rug? why isn't major league baseball, namely the commissoner exposing
the names of all ballplayers who tested possitive for steroids? why isn't the commissoner exposing these frauds who made a mockery of the game? the 1919 soxs' were amature's in comparsion to today's cheaters.

i call on the commissioner, players union and congress to restore the integrity of major league baseball.

expose the players.
remove all records of their home runs
from all major league records.
deny them the hall of fame. i for one do not feel they should ever qualify for this hollowed honor! ! !

honor is honor. i for one do not believe
that they should ever receive the ultimate honor every major league player plays for.

so therfore mr. bob allen, for me to see you on local television and say that "i for one think its time to ..."

no mr. allen, where is wayne when you need him working "undercover" exposing major league baseball?

major cover-up?

protect the ratings? protect sponsors?
money talks......... right mr. allen.

i have watched your show in houston since i moved here in august of 1976. i'm
sad to say that i'm highly disappointed in your story and coverage of this "major" story about our national passtime.

don't get me wrong, i'm only upset at how
major league baseball and the very week commissioner (bud) have handled this chapter in baseball's long and storied history.

thank you, for allowing me this opportunity to give you my opinion.
