7 ON 7 BIGGER THAN EVER AND HOT, HOT, HOT.
We made it up to College Station Saturday for the 12th annual 7 on 7 High School football tournament. If you step outside you know it was scorching, so hats off to the players, coaches, fans and tourny officials. The play was fast and furious as always, with a number of area teams playing some good ball. Cy Fair and Jersey Village both made it to the Quarterfinals of the Championship Bracket with Cy Fair battling all the way to the title game. The Bobcats came up short 33 - 31 to Stoney Point, but a great effort by Cy Fair. Coach Ed Pustejovski is reloading over there and with the confidence they gained this weekend they could make some noise in the regular season. Pearland, Lamar and Stratford also playing well. Pearland's new QB Trey Anderson can't wait to lead the Oilers this season. Two-a-days are just around the corner.
