What a letdown.. Come on Texans.
Nice win at Tennessee, big time collapse against the Jaguars. The Texans defense has so many holes in it, its hard to tell exactly what's happening. It seems someone misses an assignment on every play. Man, it's going to be a long season if this keeps up. There were some good hits and plays today against Jacksonville, just to many blunders to win.
Chris Brown was in tears in the locker room talking about his late fumble at the goal line, but that's just one mistake that cost the Texans this game. The offense still has work to do, but the defense has to find a way to get off the field in 3rd and long. Oakland's coming to town next Sunday, the Raiders are terrible, but at this point who knows.

What we have here is a bunch of posers acting like they know what they're doing. That includes the coaches.
There's two sad things about this deal. First, that 4 or 5 really good players have to suffer as a member this bunch. Second, that you guys have to suffer with having to cover this bunch instead of having a real pro team to cover.

Think about little league football. I have, as probably many of you have, coached in little league football. One of the most difficult things to do on the defensive side was to get those young folks to STAY AT HOME! As a result, misdirection plays would almost always result in big gains.
When I heard that the Texans were going to have an "aggressive" attack I figured they were in trouble. I think, if you look at all those big gains being made against the Texans you will find they happened because someone was out of position, didn't stay at home.
I used to tell the kids that it didn't matter how much the quarterback or the running backs ran around behind the line of scrimmage. Hold your position and do not allow them to cross the line of scrimmage. For one whole year I harped on that and toward the end of the year we played the top team that was a scoring machine. Our kids finally got it and they stayed at home and they held that team scoreless. Wound up a tie. Maybe the Texans should try that for a change. Or, maybe just stay at home period.
