The North Shore vs. Cypress Falls game rescheduled

The North Shore vs. Cypress Falls high school football game has been rescheduled from Friday, September 12 to Thursday, September 11. The game will still be played at the Berry Center in Cy-Fair ISD with kickoff set for 8 p.m.

HISD cancellations

Norm Uhl at HISD sent us this note about Houston high school athletics:

Due to Hurricane Ike, HISD Superintendent Abelardo Saavedra has decided to cancel all athletic events and field trips that are scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, all after-school athletic events and field trips which require travel outside of Harris County on Thursday are cancelled. The decision on any further cancellations will be made no later than noon tomorrow (Thursday). We will make further announcements through the media, the HISD website and the HISD automated phone messaging system.
